iPhone's, G-Phones. r we on our way to a "WALL*E" future?

Ok, so its a great to have, especially on the road while on tour..
checking email, wasting time on Fark.com, and generally great for entertaining oneself while killing time..

But more often than not, I end up with a bunch of friends, talking to each other while staring
at our screens.. just like the chair-riding peeps in the Pixar flick, WALL*E.
How long until we're also in the floating chairs and have lost our basic bone structure and are drinking our meals through a straw.
